Today we saw the market have a rise of almost 11%, but is this a true sign of hope? I do think that we will be seeing the market come back soon but not this week. Yesterday was a day that truly hurt millions of Americans. I am surprisingly not talking about Hurricane Ike...instead I am referring to the stock market. To start with, financials took a crash with Merrill Lynch being sold, Lehman Brothers completely going under, and then to cap it off talks of AIG also going under without any bailout plan. Today will bring the Federal Reserve making an announcement which we all await with great anticipation, but for now we can only hope and pray to never see another day like today...

(I will leave out the plunging of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac...At least the government knew that they couldn't afford to loose them)

I will be traveling to San Diego for the first time in my life and I am very excited for what will come. I have heard great things about California, and I am ready to have some serious fun. First on my list is going to be visiting Sea World, which apparently is some sight! Shortly after this I will be going to the beach to catch a glimpse of that sweet Pacific Coast Sunset. I will be having a formal ball on my second night and I am sure that it will be spectacular. I hope that everything goes according to plan, but in today's world you just never know.

Today was the start if what I believe is summer in Arizona. I went outside today in a black shirt and quickly realized that this was a horrible mistake. The temperature was close to 95 and I was definitely feeling every degree of it. I am very excited for the great weather, but I will truly be able to enjoy the most while sitting next to the pool. Bear Stearns to be taken over.

It has been predicted for sometime now but tomorrow we will see it happen, Bear Stearns will be sold for $2 a share to JP Morgan. This is a huge deal for JP Morgan, and a horrible deal for anyone who owns stock in Bear Stearns. Only a few months ago these stockholders were prosperous with prices above $150 a share, but today they have their last days with Bear Stearns at a price in the $30 range. The deal will involve all shareholders in Bear Stearn to have their shares converted into roughly .7 percent of 1 share of stock in JP Morgan, which is a number figure for "bad deal". I personally think that the best way to play this deal to make some cash is by waiting until a week from monday allowing everything to settle and for JP Morgan to calm, and then I would look over the general statistics and decide if JP Morgan is worth the investment. I do believe that JP Morgan will go down a bit this week but quickly recover for a long up run in the weeks to follow. This is my opinion and I am speaking for myself. I will give more messages along the way stating my personal opinions so do not forget to look for new info.

I am sorry to everyone who has been viewing my blog, I have recently been in another country for business. This week had McCain winning the Republican nomination, while President Bush gave his open support (both of these came at no surprise though). Barack Obama is still in the lead, but the race for the Democratic nomination will most likely be decided by congress. I personally feel that this is one of the most important elections that the country has ever had, and with this everyone needs to vote and listen to what is being stated by each candidate. When it comes to movies and actors it is hard to think of any good ones without having Johnny Depp come to mind. My two favorite Johnny Depp movies are definitely Pirates of the Caribbean and Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Johnny Depp plays two incredibly different roles in both of these movies and you are able to see his true diversity and talent. In Pirates of the Caribbean Depp plays Captain Jack Sparrow who is an infamous pirate captain who always seems to be in a bit of trouble. Johnny Depp was the perfect character for this and I feel like he truly made the movie a success. My favorite scene from Pirates of the Caribbean is when Johnny Depp is left on an island and he immediately goes for the rum to start drinking and having a nice vacation. This is a true pirate mentality and Depp did a perfect job with the part, especially in this humorous scene. On the other hand of the spectrum we have Johnny Depp playing Willy Wonka who is the crazy and lonely candy factory owner. In this movie we see Johnny Depp act in a way that we never would have expected after seeing Pirates of the Caribbean. My favorite scene in this movie is when he dances inside the factory, and my reason for this is because she shows a true eccentric side which is perfect for Willy Wonka. Out of these two movies Pirates of the Caribbean is my favorite, but only because I felt like the movie plot line was more interesting and action packed. In the past few weeks I have become extremely excited about the newest Johnny Depp movie directed by Tim Burton. The new movie is Sweeney Todd where Depp will be playing the barbershop killer Sweeney Todd, which of course is a perfect roll for him. I have always been a fan of King's movies and my favorite is by far "IT" and the reason is because of clowns and my dislike of them. The other day I was watching TV and I saw a trailer for the new Stephen King movie "The Mist" and I will be honest it looks very thrilling and mysterious. I love to watch movies where I am at the edge of my chair with excitement as well as confusion and I know that this movie is going to deliver just that. This movie is coming out on Wednesday November 21st which is only a few days away! I have decided that I am definitely going to go and see this movie, especially after going online and looking at the trailer again. For the past 20 years I have watched my father as he get aggravated pain from both his back and his knee. These pains that he is constantly plagued with are due to football injury's from college, and they increased as he continued to carry heavy objects to work everyday. I was watching Jerry Seinfeld on Larry King the other day and I will be honest it got quite heated. Larry asked if Seinfeld (the show) was cancelled, but he didn't do it in a serious way but Jerry seemed to take it the wrong way. As the nation approaches the final countdown to Christmas, new research rings alarm bells over the financial impact of Christmas in credit crunch Britain. The research from the new money saving website Savebuckets.com reveals that as Brits prepare for Christmas, many are still paying off last year’s festive spending.

With 41 per cent of Britons paying for Christmas on credit last year, almost one in five are still paying for last year’s festivities (17%), fewer than one in three having cleared their Christmas debts when their January credit card bill arrived (29%).

Following a year of consumer confidence in 2006, Christmas spending soared 52 per cent in two years (from an average £548 per adult in 2004* to £837 per adult in 2006), with over one in five Brits spending over £1,000 on Christmas last year (22%). Fire

Today there was a pretty serious fire at the Arizona State University Mermorial Union. The fire occured today for unknown reasons but speculations have gone around that it was a grease fire from the kitchens. I personally was one of the many people who had to evacuate the building and it was not a fun time. Overall we will just have to wait for the news stations to give the full report. Oh and watch for me because I was intervied. I was wearing a black Polo shirt.

Halloween

Today is Halloween! I am not going to lie I am quite excited but I feel like a big part of me is missing...my family. Halloween to me has always been a time with my family, especially when it comes to Halloween dinner, and carving pumpkins. I miss my mom, my dad, and my brother a lot today. I do not really have any true plans for right now but I am sure that things will be going on. As of right now I am about to go and grab some brunch before I have to start my real work of the day. In our country it seems as though every time there is an election in close sight all of our candidates begin to just loose it all and start making up outrageous things. I personally do not like to get worked up about elections because there are absolutely zero true people running, and if they are they will not make it very far. I will be completely honest I do not think you can trust anything that these candidates say, whether they are democrats or republicans they are all speaking completely off of what their truths really are. I have been working fairly hard today and definitely late. It is 11:52 here and I am still sitting with a large work load on my hands.
